Aafreen is a staunch believer in the immense potential of today’s youth. She feels, in spite of abundance of opportunities, not all are able to tap into their optimum potential due to lack of clarity, a clear path and above all, lack of Skills required for today's world .
Aafreen has been advocating for relevant Skills for youth at the right age. Her activism in the last few years to incorporate Leadership & Life Skills education as part of the mainstream education in schools & colleges led her to be designated as the Global Youth Ambassador with Skills for Life Foundation.
Born in Delhi, Aafreen is currently a Senior year student of Psychology at Georgia State University’s Honors College, Atlanta, USA, invited to study at GSU on 100% Scholarship.
Aafreen has been a straight A student throughout, has been in the Presidents list 4 times in a row at her University, She is currently one among the only 10 students of the Honors’ college to be a part of the university’s LEAD with Honors Program.
She also holds the position of the Digital Literacy Ambassador at the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at GSU, she also serves as the Public Relations Officer at GSU’s Honors Student Organization and also has been selected to be a part of the college Admissions Committee.
In October 2019, Aafreen was sponsored by the GSU to present as a Speaker at one of America’s largest National Conferences, EDUCAUSE, held at Chicago. A first ever opportunity for any student at GSU. She took this opportunity at an international platform to showcase the achievements of Skills for Life Foundation for the past 11 years.
